McDonnell F2H-2 Banshee
Developed by McDonnel from the Phantom , the Banshee was a long range escort fighter.
The F2H flew with the USNavy and the USMC from 1948; last aircraft retired in 1961.
Buyed as second hand by Canada from 1955 and used as Interceptors till 1962.
Widely used during the Korean conflict as fighter bomber it did operate from USNavy carriers but far from the MiG Alley due the evident inferiority in performance against the swept wings russian jets; there are no witness of air to air fights against MiGs.The model rapresent the variant mostly used in Korea : the F2H-2.
The model is provided both variant with and without wingtip tanks.
Model 1:100 scale printed at 1:285 with 0.4mm nozzle and 0.08 mm layers.
Printed in two halves as shown in the image.
