I really like the idea behind this case. I have the original T.T. case printed and installed currently, however the lack of cable chain attachments is painful for me which is why I really like your adaptation. However, I have the MKS Gel L board and I am uncertain if the form factor matches the MKS Gen 1.4. Do you have any input on wether or not board dimensions or screw locations have changed between the two?

The form factor and mounts are indeed different, but why not use this remix? https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3780150

Ender 3 MKS GEN L case v2 & 2.1

I have been looking through all the itterations of Michael's rear electronics box and came across yours. I am impressed with your Fusion 360 skills - I still have problems importing an STL and merging the faces so that I can modify the object!

Anyway, enough of my lack of skills, I am looking to convert my Ender 3 Pro to an MKS Gen L 1.4 (possibly with a TFT 2.8 later) and your deisgn incorporates most of what I need - I may need more cable holes for the TFT and the Pi camera.

A question though, have you thought of protecting the top fan from the stray bits and pieces 'getting int the electronics' as with the stock ender 3 front box?

If your drivers will allow it the best way to provide cooling is going to be the fan vent on the bottom near the power supply. The secondary fan is necessary in cases where the drivers require direct cooling, such as TMC 21xx drivers. Add in the wiring harness and these are too heavy to install upside down as vibrations will work them free over time.

If you are really worried and need the direct cooling you could glue a fine mesh over top of the fan vent, or perhaps model a fan vent over top though this may reduce airflow.
