A fully 3D printable model rocket. Fits a standard Estes 1/8" launch rod and works with Estes C engines.
Tolerances may need to be adjusted depending on your printer.
This model includes the NASA logo because I was working there at the time and the Syracuse logo because I attend Syracuse University. I cannot suppress these features without messing up the model, sorry :)
Two-Stage Version can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3794565
Weight (unloaded): ~90g
Launch Height: A few hundred feet
Material Cost (PLA): ~$2.5
Print supports touching build plate only.
Assemble as shown in exploded view
Glue/Epoxy the body parts so that the airflow indicator arrows align. DO NOT glue the tip of the rocket or the engine cap onto the body!
Once Rocket is assembled, insert and engine and screw on the engine cap. Attach a parachute and shock cord (rubber band) to the "parachute loop" as you would with an Estes rocket.
