This is a stick/gimbal guard, as well as a switch protector. It prints flat, but is designed to curve and hold onto the forward-facing switches (and therefore needs to be printed in TPU/TPE/some other flexible material.)
The inspiration for this came when I was using the source for this remix, and switch SB broke off at the base while it was in my backpack.
Update 2019-09-19: added the mtl and obj files from Tinkercad.
As mentioned in the description, this is designed to be printed in a flexible material. It prints flat, but the connection points between the upward- and forward-facing switches need to flex so they can cover both. You could possibly print this in a non-flexible filament, heat up the connection points and bend them into shape, but I haven't tried that, and I'm not sure that you could get the cover on and off once it was in that orientation.
Also, I printed with retraction off, which caused significant stringing but helped with overall strength and allowed me to print at a much higher speed than I could otherwise (30mm/s vs 10mm/s with retraction on.) The stringing is easy to trim off.
