This is a mount for a BMG extruder & motor that mounts on top of the X-Carriage plate for an Ender 5.
Installation requires removing the top left X-carriage wheel. Slip the mount on top of the plate. Reinstall the wheels. Move extruder and motor to the mount. Adjust tension of X-Axis as needed.
This setup uses a bowden tube between the STOCK hotend and the mounted BMG. (Sorry I don't have the length at the moment).
I'm working on several hotend/extruder experiments at the same time. I haven't printed/mounted everything yet. Additionally my clone extruders have not been so great, so I'm currently back to the Red Aluminum extruder in Direct Drive mode.
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3815676 is my Ender 5 Stock Direct Drive mount - This mount is similar but the motor is mounted towards the back of the printer.
Any PLA or PETG or ABS
Print the part with the tear drop for the motor hole pointing up to use minimal supports and keep the carrier channel free of supports. (Basically rotate is 90 degree so the wheel mounting hole is towards the print bed.
Note: The pictures I found are a similar mount I'm working on that fits the V6 + Bullseye + Titan extruder. However the bracket mounting and overall design are basically the same (just the location of the filament varies).
