This is a replacement battery cover or battery door for a 1970s Sony ICF-5500W AM/FM radio.
It's not a 100% exact duplicate, as some liberties were taken to make printing easier.
You will want supports for the two overhangs beside the spring, but nothing else needs supports. You definitely don't want supports for the lettering!
I included a Cura project file with support blockers where you don't need supports, so use that if it's helpful.
I also used a 40% cubic infill, since this will incur some odd stresses when using the door. Other than those changes, this is mostly the default 0.15mm Cura 4.1 profile for the Ender 3.
I designed this in TinkerCad, using only basic geometric forms. It was really fun replicating something real-world.
I made a couple specific changes to the original design to make it easier to print:
- The bottom of the cover (outside) is completely flat, without the raised areas for lettering, so you can print the outside flat against the printing surface
- The lettering is much larger, but this made sure it's legible
- I added small inclines to the spring component, so you don't need to provide any support for the spring.
