I designed this holder for sewing machine bobbins, to keep them organised and untangled.

I printed this on a Prusa Mendel. I set printing speed low and layer height to 0.2mm.
I created this in Inventor, so I can't upload a .scad file, but it may have to be adapted for other brands of bobbins. I created this for bobbins with 20.6mm diameter, and it's a nice snap-fit.

Worked great on the second try. On the first one, I used two perimeters and some infill, which made the print too solid, and you couldn't easily pop a bobbin in and out without thinking it would break. On the second one, used a single 0.6mm perimeter. Perfect! The bobbin pops in and out and the print only came out to 6g of filament. Thanks for making this available.

That must be one tiny 3D Printer, tiny spools of filament! ;)

Haha, nice one!

Perfect fit for Brother bobbins
Great model thanks

one side is a tiny bit bigger than the other, so the bobbins were a little loose inside...

Hi, I've finally done a check of the .ipt file and the part should be perfectly symmetrical: both inner diameters are 20.5 mm.
Not sure what may have gone wrong. Maybe something with the slicing algorithm?

That's strange. I thought I made it perfectly symmetrical. I'll check the dimensions later. Thanks!
