I've always loved Mr_MegaTronic's birdhouse design and wanted to print one but in multiple colors. This was one of the first projects I undertook when I received my Prusa MMU2 attachment for my MK3S.
The main house is broken into 4 different files (therefore 4 colors) for the main house, roof, chimney and windows.
The base piece is broken into 4 different files for the main base, brick columns, floor/steps, and handrails.
The chimney was broken into 3 different files, but could be printed as one piece with a color change at the top and cap.
Generic PLA PLA
Have fun choosing
I would have printed the birdhouse in PETG to better handle the elements outdoors, but I had a hard time with filament loads and unloads on the MMU2. Maybe with more experimenting I can get it to be a little more reliable.
The reason why you want this to be a reliable print is that the main house part took over 3 days of printing. The base was over 2 days. Anything more than 5 filament load/unload problems per day, gets to be very frustrating ;-)
