I made a comback in yoyoing after 'bout I dunno... 3 years maybe?
Now I can do stuff!
That is my second attempt on a yoyo on a 3d printer, first one to be square. It's diametre equals its width and it measures 52 mm (metric dudes, no inchy)
havent bothered making sure it fits brand pads, use red gasket silicone (high temp).
plays unexpectedly steady and somewhat light. best weight for it is around 66 grams total
cannot stress enough how critical your printer calibration is. spend some time adjusting it)
I managed to print it to JUST a slight vibe, so u should too.
also it has a hidden feature wich makes it possible to print ONLY on fdm printers, and no other. load it in slicer and see for yourself!)))
hope yee enjoy playing!!! feel free to reach to me for modifications!
and please post some kind of review if you print this! mucho appreciated
any u like basically, but go with around 55% of your nozzle size
So u'll need to tinker with material to achieve that weight, cause even changing colorfabb color greatly affects play. total weight with all components 66 grams!
support only touching buildplate (just in case)
55% of your nozzle size also keeps it closer to size, I suppose. The one in the photos printed with 0.6 nozzle with .35 layer) fast and furious))
of course print bearing side up
things to source
- YYF die nasty
- 2 big washers id=6,5mm od=17,7-18
- long m4 bolt and nut (around 30mm)
From die nasty u could take the bolt but in order to do so U need to pop the sidecaps. I refrained from that
use bearing washers (seats) and bearing drom DN
dont forget that p.2 washer outside.
should I really text how to screw a yoyo?))))
also U can add nuts to a bolt to adjust center weight a bit
fusion 360 and lots of attempts
