Excelent model !!! Thanks

You're welcome :)

beautiful Job!
thanks for your efforts
has anyone found another source for the lights.....they are not available in the US.

Amazon has oodles of USB led lights.

THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY
AFTER MY POST I WENT ON PARTYLIGHTS.COM
AND PURCHASED A SET OF 20 ITEM #LEDBATCWCL
WHICH ARE A TAD LARGER THAN THE HOLE. I USED
A 15/64 DRILL TO ENLARGE THE HOLE AND THEY
STAY PUT MUCH BETTER THAN THE FAIRY LIGHTS
9.95 A SET BUT MUCH NICER TO WORK WITH
THANKS AGAIN

Go to Michael's or Hobby Lobby... look for Micro Led strings or Rice Lights. That's where I Found mine.

How many of each file is to be printed? Star points and connectors?

Read the instructions

The instructions link doesn't actually point to anything other than the main summary page. Suggestions?

Is there one point that has a hole to go on the tree? How did you secure it to the top tree spike?
Great design. I will have to do something different with the LED since i'm starting this late but great design indeed.

There is a derivative point by Kulitorum with a hole for your tree http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:204256

Christmas star tree connector

I cant seem to print the points on my Afinia since it requires support. It says there is no model or support at layer 88.75~89.50. Damn it

Nice mod. It was admired by many over Christmas.
I fiddled around with tabs etc to try to hold it all together, but couldn't get it to work. Didn't think of separate connectors -I'm new to this lot :-)

Thanks. My wife loves the model, all I did was make it simpler for myself. I'm told that I'm making more for next Christmas. I also thought of making tabs, but didn't think it would work, so I just make connectors that push in. You did all the hard work, I just hacked. I look forward to your next inspiration :-)

this is absolutely gorgeous. well done!

You've taken all the fun out of assembly ;-)

Lovely model and a very nifty mod. Thanks to both of you.
