I'm not sure what happened, but for some reason, this design didn't fit on the heat sink that I bought from you guys. The footprint for the fan fits perfectly, but the opening on the other side is too narrow to slide over the heat sink.

I think I just spotted the reason. In your photo, the heat sink seems to be flat-faced on both sides, whereas mine is sloped.

The heatsink used with this duct is no longer manufactured. Thanks for your remix allowing others to benefit. Brad

Here's the updated version of the duct:

35mm Heatsink Fan Shroud

Is there another place to find that heat sink? The Integy site has a $40 minimum for orders.

Dan - I have more on order and will make them available at http://www.ultibots.comwww.ultibots.com. Check late next week. Thanks - Brad

Does it matter which way the fan faces?? fan label facing in (toward the plastic shroud) or out (visible when assembled?)

jollyroger -
To suck or blow... that is the question?
I have mine blowing. Most 40mm fans have a direction arrow imprinted on the plastic housing. I am not sure the label always tells direction.

you guys are busy today :P
is that support base a feature of Alibre?

truehybridx -
No, that is a brim designed into the first layer.
It helps ABS adhere to the heated print bed.
It can be easily removed with surpression in Alibre.

Thanks for checking out this part.
