everybody please know that owning one of these "knuckle dusters" are illegal in most us states.

Everyone was selling these at the recent gun show here in New York so I can't imaging they are illegal anywhere if they are not in NY.

I believe "Brass knuckles" are illegal, in most States. I don't think plastic ones are.. in California is the selling of plastic knuckles illegal .. not the making of one. Oh but firearms and metal batons are all fine !

MrEnthusiastic is correct. "Cat Eyes" type keychains are illegal in most US states, regardless of the type of material, as they constitute dangerous weapons.

For example, in Missouri, it's covered under Revised Statute 571.020:
http://revisor.mo.gov/main/OneSection.aspx?section=571.020&bid=33624&hl=

And it's a pretty serious deal, so for anyone thinking of printing this, PLEASE check your local/state laws first!

Yes its better to print the liberator pistol (check on the pirate bay for files) the gun has a small opening to insert a metal block to make the gun legal in the U.S.

Hello! Thanks for the pattern. I have a question though...my printer isn't big enough to print at 100 so I had to print at about 92%. How could I increase the size of the finger holes and in doing so, would it compromise the strength of it? Thanks!

I've added a file called: Cat 90%
the holes are the same size as the original one.
enjoy!

I will make one just for you :)

thanks so much! it printed great at 92% but the finger holes are a little small now for my chubby fingers :)

You need to check the file i just uploaded i think it contained an error but i just fixed it. it should be okay now.
you can re-download it

thanks! I downloaded it and it seems to be OK. I will print it in a few hours once my filament holder is finished...Thanks so much!!! :)

Quality:
Layer height: 0.06
shell thickness: 0.8
enable retraction : yes

Fill:
Bottom/ Top Thickness: 0.6
Fill Density(%): everything above 40 infill is strong and durable.

print speed: 50mm/s

same settings apply on all 3 models..
check back in 1 hour i will post a picture i made for a client in Copper Fillament and PLA

Any recommendations for how to attach this to a keychain? It looks like you've got some sort of jump ring on it?

A simple keychain ring will suffice. You will have to apply some force to it.

Thanks! And sorry, last question, what infill and shell settings do you recommend? It sounds like you may have done some calculations around integrity, so I'd like to match yours.

Yes thats true i've improved the design, "the eyebrows" cause shockresistance.
So when the pointy ears hits something hard, they wont break of but absorb the impact...
The ears won't break of I made 5 of them already in PLA they are super strong. Try it

Hey I just wanted to print this thing but when I look at the file it seems to be not the one you're showing. There is a gap on the ears like eyebrows. I think this way it wouldn't last long :-) Can you please upload the right file? Thanks, Stanley
