Super intuitive spectacle-cases
This model doesn't need springs, active hinges, or magnets to work.
Neither is it printed with flexible materials - just regular brittle PLA.
Very easy to print
To achieve this behavior, I applied an common engineering technique from wood-design.
The "Living-Hinge" Cut Pattern.
And it worked out like a charm.
Matt-White / Red / Ice-Blue
Just snap-fit the sides onto the intended slots on the wall. Secure where needed with some extra super-glue.

Sheet-Metal and Bend-Stretching
I used Fusion360's Sheet-Metal Feature to model the case.
With the first protoypes, I realised, that PLA tends to extend its length by 10% when bend by 45deg using my living-hinge Design. This, of course, is reliant on my very own hinge cut layout-dimensions.
So I lowered the height of the bending-sections off the wall to be 90% of the original extend.
