HI. What is the total weight of the hexagon?

Lovely.. Took me 6 hours to print but it fits perfectly
Btw. there have been some errors in the stl but it was still printable.

I don't have a printer, just an idea. I'd like a crossing piece one way duplo one way brio then my son's two train track types can at least cross. I think you'd be able to sell a few on eBay... I'd have a few on my own. Thanks

Congrats! I thought you model was one of the best choices for a 3D Printed Christmas gift! I made a link from here: http://3dprintingninja.blogspot.com/2014/12/top-20-free-3d-printed-christmas-gifts.html

Hi Thanks for featuring!

the v4 stl is not manifold and so not printable any ideas ?

I'm using a form labs printer - other stl files work with my software but not this one (which sucks 'cause this is awesome) - any ideas

Great stuff, my son loves it. Thank you!

Two things could be improved:

  • The ribs won't be printed even at 0.1mm
  • The notches are too tight. Is that only my print, or by design?

Brilliant! Have printed the hex and the straight. I think of beauty to watch print as well! Can you design us some corners please? The hex as revealed that I don't have enough track!

Very nice! And it works like charm!

Now we need more Curves! Please! ;-)

I Made one and we had fun today using it. Being printed on a Cube in ABS it did need postprocessing. the print itself took about 10 hours - a long wait for the kids..... But it was worth it ;-) next request: a reverse brick (like http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/x905px1)http://www.peeron.com/inv/part... which we don't have in our inherited Duplo train set....

it is still possible to get those secondhand, i even would like to trade a reverse brick or 2 for a duplo hexagon. i dont have a 3d printer

reverse brick could be bought second hand would that not bee cheaper easyer? i dont have a 3d printer maybe that explains my reaction ;)

How did you deal with the thermal shrinking?

Never had troubles with thermal shrinking. I only use PLA, I think PLA has less shrinking problems. But like I said, I’ve never tried ABS.

Congratulation Really a good project that works as a real product We need more like this!!!!!

Thank you for looking!

Hmm, back to Plan A: Try out blue sharpies on white PLA before extrusion.

Hat off. Chapeau! Great, original, usefull and nice.

That is one HAPPY kid!

pure genius, after being just verry interrested, when you mentioned it. now i just have to have some!

Very nice!

Any chance you remember where you got that color from?

This is the best snowflake yet. Utility is beauty.

Someone is just so lucky!

I want to get our Duplo out and play again. Trouble is the youngest is 11 and way beyond Duplo. However grand kids should only be 10 years away for the eldest!

Check out Duplo Toolo, you might find some on ebay or similar.

Yes, its a shame they don't make that anymore. Probably too advanced for the target age.

Is that your kid? So cute!

Yes! Thanks, it's made with the most advance 3D printer in the world ;)
