This is an universal clamping piece. You can adjust several parameters like the inner and outer diameters, clearances, bore diameters etc.
I intended to use it for bicycle purpose to fit lights, mudguards, etc.
I think the preferred printing position is as in the picture I attached. But then you need support. But it will be best for functionality. Clearance 0.3 should do (for 0.1mm slices, thicker slices will need more clearance -- at least with my printer).
When you print it "lying" it might be problematic to chose the clearance correctly. Too much will not print properly, too less will hamper the movement/function.
In the comment section I've explained how to use openSCAD in order to get the STL file(s) for printing.
I've also added a "test print" for the hinge. I recommend doing a test print of the hinge only (with the same parameters you want to print later) and check if the hinge is functional (or if it glues together).
With version 0.4 there comes a restructured code where you directly can choose by a combobox which variant you want to have (open/closed/test)
