The .zip file contains the Solidworks parts. Also - uploaded a blank cover sheet for Solidworks.

For me, to print via Cura, I had to reopen the solidworks files and export again into stl. This way the scale is perfect.
Thanks for the awesome model!

Hi Pedlo, can you share the stl files ? Many thanks !

looking for suggestions on how to edit the blank name card. Meshmix crashes on both of my PC's when I try to do a boolean difference of something so complex as a name... My PC's are both 5 years old cpu not sure if its a newer cpu instruction... or something more simple.

Some of the part files have an inches/millimeters discrepancy. I think all the parts were originally designed in inches, but they got switched to millimeters at some point. Scaling by 2540% fixes the problem.

Hey thanks so much! That's really helpful! :-)

I opened the stl file 2nd gear and it is so small it can't be even be seen in the 3D printer softwar: MatterContyrol Ultimaker 2+

\Help on this?

Hi, can you re-upload files, the objects apear to small.

Files are set at MM - so depends on which software you are using to view/slice. They are currently at the right size.

i opened whit Cura, Repetier and Slic3r same resilt

thank you for the blank base file!

Love it!!!
Thanks for your work, and a separete thanks for SW file.
Amazing

Any chance of a blank one being uploaded?

Sorry, I'm new to this. I'm a high school student and I am wondering how i can edit the Main_Sheet_Base so that I could change it to my name .

I'm in the same boat as you hahaha

If you could supply a blank backplate or even better, make it a customizable parametric design, that would be awesome!

I've attached the .zip file with the original Solidworks files for anyone to use.

I would love to get a blank front plate. That way I can modify it. Can you do that? Would be awesome!

Main Sheet Top 3.STL have 3.40mm x 2.12mm so I need it scale it 2500% to have it in size of credit card - is that correct? :)

I printed on an Objet - have yet to try it on RepG or MakerWare yet.  Not sure of scaling for it.

Nice !!! I can change the front panel for you in Solidworks if you want to customize it for your info.

Printer? Settings?

Colors are cool - it really pops!
:-D

No worries fella, I have SWorks so can if I need to. I figured it would be respectful to leave it as you designed it for the vid.

Printer is a Dimension Elite with layer thickness set to .178 mm.

I actually thought about making it in brass - machining the parts or using watch gears to get more stuff packed into it. My material is slightly flexible so it doesn't handle the pressure (torque) to well.

If you have some ideas or sketches I could try to modify.

do you have any thoughts on making the gear mechanism into a mechanical calculator of some type?

Multi use use business cards, like embossed pens, are the ones that get kept out and used.

Can you make it to have a laser cut file so i could cut it out?

What format does your laser require? I can process it here.

I have Solidworks - so if there is a way to convert it to your file type I would be happy to.

Rob

i know this is responding to an old post, but it could help for future reference. In SW, if you make a new drawing from the part/ assembly (like a dimension drawing), and show the front view of each piece, it can save it out as vector art by saving it as either .pdf or .ai. These files can then either be edited for lasercutting, or of done properly, used directly.

By that I mean pdf?
