Summary

using these for a 3D rebuild of Incursion can be used for any other miniature game
.
wooden crates; w/lids
.
larger crate contains an internal lip to insert the sideboard shelf if needed
.
smaller crate requires you to glue (I use acetone) the two blocks to the underside of the crate; lining them up with the two connecting boards along the one side; creates a lift for the crate w/o the need to print with supports
.
I've updated the 34x55 file; I did not get any errors from this file while printing with the Rep2x or the Afninia printer but I did notice after importing it into Netfab some issues showed up during the analysis which my 3D printing software seemed to either ignore and/or fix.

Just wanted to mention that these are great, and using an SVG for the damage is a clever way to go about that. You just hand-drew some polygons and extruded to create the damage?

that's correct; I brought in some photos I took of wood grain from some pine 4x6 boards I had in the garage straight into Illustrator and then used Image Trace to break it apart into vector... then it was a matter of cleaning up the vector art, removing what didn't fit and closing the lines so it would extruded properly.

Is that model something you'd be willing to share (or did you already)?

Thanks for catching that; I've updated the file with one I repaired in Netfabb (Basic); I originally printed this with the Rep2x as well as an Afinia; Afinia's software usually indicates in red the issues with the model but for some reason it didn't have problems with it and printed fine in just under 1hour 45minutes.

Hmm, the other files have errors too. Might want to repost repaired files on those as well. I'll run them through Netfabb myself and see if they're improved.

There we go! Much better! I tried repairing it using Netfabb too and my results were still non-manifold. You must have that special something! :) Thank you!

Lots of manifold errors on the 34x50 file. Did you run a manifold test prior to posting? I'd like to see a clean file for printing! :)
