Summary

This thing is a 3D printed Dobsonian telescope designed for an 8" primary mirror with a focal length of 48". The optical tube assembly consists of aluminum extrusions attached with 3D printed ribs designed for standard hardware and covered with cardboard tubing. Approx cost of other, non printed parts?

Thanks for making a derivative of the Printonian! My design also has a primary cell, secondary spider, and crayford focuser. Did you design these parts to be compatible?

Printonian - Printable Newtonian Telescope
by Buback

That's not a clone, as the Printonian is much closer to the real 3D printed telescope :)

Thanks for checking out my design. It's not a derivative. So, no - it's not compatible with any of your parts. Thanks for asking though!

This is nice! but they are far to big for my printer, how long did it take to print?

The ribs were designed to fit on the Replicator 2 (4th Generation). Each rib took about 16 hours to print!!
