The original extruders heater is 15v 33watts. the E3D is a 12v heater. Did you have to do any electrical mods to drop the voltage the heater tube?

Thanks. Works like a charm.

Thank you!

Perfect fit, even if you have the Velleman LED option installed.

Perfect fit. A simple but very effective adaptor for my E3D V6 on my K8200,

Hi "The RealMozes" !
No the adaptor will not melt. My heat sink has a fan attached to it (not seen in picture above), which cools the fins of the sink more efficiently than just the convection to ambient air.
I have not measured this with an instrument, but I have touched the upper fin of my sink and it is totally cold when writing ABS at 240 deg Celsius. Actually the middle fin feels the same also. I have not tried without the fan. This may be a problem, especially if you have a
heated cabinet. I am building my cabinet now and aiming for an ambient air temp of 50...60 deg C. I will let you know how it works when it is done. My guess is that the heat sinks upper part will still be a few degrees above the ambient air and will cause no problems.

Doesn't this melt when the hot end is 'hot' ?

Wow nice just exactly what i was looking for as i like you want to use the included molded fan mount. Will print this tonight :)
