Peristaltic pumps are really cool. Happy to see one on here as it's not something i see often in the maker community. I job i worked used them frequently and needed to service them. IMHO it looks like you have too much room between the bearings and tube. Also I would suggest possibly switching to a 3 or even two bearing model and making the body wider for thicker tubing. Awesome start though!

how much l/m can it push, and how much head does it generate?

Water flow wasn't what we expected, it was our first experience with peristaltic pumps, but enough for our need (really small hydroponic system). It can pump approximately a glass of water in 2-3 minutes.
If you need more lt/min we suggest you to go with bigger flexible pipes that the one we got (just 2,5mm inside diameter)

I got two 4 head units used for aquarium dosing and merged them into one unit, to be controlled with Arduino. In mine, there is small diameter tubing and 12v motors. If memory serves me, they only did roughly 1.2ml/sec, though nailing down the accuracy was proving tricky so I abandoned the project for a while. I like this design, but maybe due to the tubing you used having such thin walls compared to the dia, not as much fluid is moved b/c of flex. I bet something with slightly thicker walls will give you more flow. Good build. A bit bulky in size, but looks to be very functional. I'm actually shopping around looking for a way to merge 8 1/4" OD flex tubes into a PVC fitting so if any of you have seen something along those lines, please fill me in. I want to get that project going again.
