This is a simple model using the Printrbot logo to go with a tutorial on making printable models in Blender.

This was built in Blender using the Bezier curve tool to trace the basic logo. The curve was converted to a mesh object, closed then extruded to give it depth.
The main pitfalls of using Blender are:
1) Scale. One Blender unit equals 1 mm in the real world.
2) Normals. Make sure all the faces that are supposed to be exterior are pointing out as they should.
