Summary
This is the crystal structure of the human rhinovirus found at pdb.org. The x-ray crystal structure was transformed using Pymol and MGL tools. A course surface was placed over the atoms. My goal is to print a bunch of these for use in teaching a class on viruses.
Print one and throw it to someone so they can "catcha cold" :)
Instructions
The structure is unprintable on the makerbot because it needs to be divided into two halves to be printed. Replicator G 19 has no troubles slicing it up however. I would appreciate some help in how to properly divide this model. Blender has me stumped. I can put up alot more viruses and other protein structures, however, many of them need slicing. I would like to put up printable things.
