PiKase is a raspberry case.
The camera can be mounted to different positions and offer many handle to his user.
The positions are basic, webcam and handycam ( watch the photos for more informations ).
This case is micro SD card compatible, come with a GPIO cap and accept raspberry pi model A or B.
The camera case has 2 outputs for the flexible flat cable.

This set has been printed with :

  • rectilinear fill pattern
  • 100% infill density
  • 0.25mm layer height
  • 2 perimeters
    Please use screws M3 and place the ring between the hub and top case part for easy rotation.
    The longest screw is for camera tilt, these dimensions are M3 x 30mm.

Those things will all depend on your settings, most slicers will estimate the time for you when you load the object, but your settings can as much as double the time (or halve it).

Can I get more details on the needed Hardware?

Yes of course. You have need :

  • 3 screws M3x10
  • 1 screw M3x30
  • 1 nut M3
  • 1 washer 20mm max.

How well would it protect the pi from impact?

In case of fall, the pi is protected. The board is fixed with 2 screws and the spacers prevents the deplacement inside the case. You can add silent blocks if you want. A new case will be released soon for our kickstarter project. Regards

nice and clean design , but the camera cable is difficult to be arranged, I make it out of the box through the gap of Ethernet port. And the GPIO cover is missing.

Sorry for the missing file, I add this now.
The Flexible flat cable passes through the case by the aeration holes (watch picture).
I use 2 flexible cable sizes, 6 inch (15cm) or 4 inch (10 cm), it depends on the camera position on the case.
For the lens box, you can pass the camera cable up or down, it's the same, it depends on the camera position.
Shortly, I will release an extension for this set, it will compatible and you can place the camera inside the box. Design is finish, waiting for video of demonstration.

I'm wondering of the usage of another camera mount on the case , now I get it.
