This prints really badly. Printed this and it gives two solid areas making the print very ugly. Such a pain and a disappointment.

Don't know what to say about that. The print I did pictured was done over 15 years ago on a makerbot cupcake cnc kit. Very primitive and low quality compared to today's printers but it doesn't look bad to me.

It's cool, but is it really under a creative commons license?

well its free on turbosquid so i assume so

I don't like to be a downer, so please forgive me folks. But first... never assume free or sold content gives you the right to distribute an item freely, especially when the visible design of the object hasn't been changed or incorporated as part of another work. And secondly, this is part of the turbosquid license for this piece:

"The resale or redistribution by the Member of any Content obtained from TurboSquid, whether For Sale or freely available for download, whether part of a Valid Sale or not, is expressly prohibited "

But finally, if I were the original artist who put this up for free download, and you contacted me
to ask if you could offer it for free download as a printable object on thingiverse, I might very well say yes. For the record, I'm not that artist, but certainly I would require you to mention me specifically in your description. So shoot them an email. Chances are they'll be happy to let you d
o this.
