Wanted to make a Scout Trooper cosplay and added a trigger to the grip. Definitely the best one ive seen.

I've printed this at 100%, but it seemed too small. I then printed it to 105% and it still seems tiny. Now I' starting it at 114% but it seems large.
I've read that the length of the overall blaster should be about 21mm long. Has anyone figured out the scale for this print yet?

Wish I saw this yesterday. I'm just finishing up the 2nd half of the other design. This one looks way better! Gonna start on it in the morning. thanks!

Starwars blaster #4 Printed. This thing went together great! No glue needed.

Finished printing it, silly me didn't look at sizes prior to clicking the print button. It is a bit smaller than the hard rubber resin blaster from the Pathfinders, but fear not!!! Scaled it up to 114% in the printer software and that should fix that size issue for me. I'll confirm that the 114% is good in the next day or so. Other than that, my friend's kid is going to get a really cool blaster present!

114%? How did it turn out. What is the overall dimensions?

Ddi you confirm that 114% did the trick? Thanks!!

Dear People wanting to make this blaster...
Don't remove the raft on the handle!!!
it caused me a lot of trouble and a waste of filament because it made the handle 0.5 cm too short!

Really Nice files, just wish that we could just add our own rafts if needed. I am printing in PETG, and everything I print sticks to my glass bed perfectly. So I'd go without the rafts.

I printed this and it came out awesome wish I knew how to post picture

this is awesome as both my son and I will be dressing up as bikerscouts this year for halloween

Wow! Nice work. I'm trying to 3d print the entire scout armor, and the pistol was the last part I needed. Thanks for providing such a great prop!

We just got a 3D printer where I work and I have free reign to use it in my off-time. I love this blaster and want to print one. When I downloaded the templates it says Invalid Public Key when I click on any of them. Do I need some kind of key or license to print this?

No, something's wrong. You should be able to just load and print it.

There is a license for this. It says at the bottom. You're free to print these for your own personal Non-Commericial use. If you plan on selling it or "selling print time" on your machine to "cover filament and electricity costs" please contact me to work out a different arrangement.

Print turned out great. I like your brim/raft design on the project. Made if very easy to layout and print.

Any chance you could upload a raft-less version? I'm printing in PLA so I don't need the raft and with the raft it's too big for my bed.

The Z folders I believe are the raw models.

Ah, perfect. Thanks!

Thanks for making this model I am hoping to print this out for fellow 501st friend who lost her TB blaster while on a troop. Thanks for your help

No idea what I am doing wrong. Printed the mail block @5% infill with two extra shells. All of the "holes" came out solid and aren't the same diameter of the back plug and nozzle.

Printed out all of the smaller pieces with two extra shells and 0 infill. The three "discs" have an inside diameter that is too small for the back plug.

I have to be doing something wrong. Need to get it figured out before I print the handle and scopes.

Any advice?

Awsome armor and gun! Is the armor 3d printed?

Wowzers, ~$300CDN in black ABS with T20/T16 tip to have it printed at the Red Deer College here in Alberta, Canada
Just to ask the obvious question, was there a specific reason it wasn't saved as a single .stl for one print = one gun?

Make it yourself. Different printers have different size and shape platforms. When I print them I do it all at once

Can you confirm are these sizes correct?

Part Name / Scale

back_cyls / 2.4 x 0.7 x 0.2 in
back_plug / 0.4 x 0.4 x 1.5 in
block / 6.3 x 3.7 x 1.2 in
clip / 1.4 x 1.5 x 0.5 in
guard / 2.3 x 3.2 x 0.5 in
handlev2 / 5.5 x 2.0 x 2.6 in
nozzle / 0.4 x 0.4 x 1.4 in
pin / 0.4 x 0.8 x 0.3 in
scope_back_v1 / 3.8 x 2.7 x 2.9 in
scope_front_v1 / 2.0 x 2.0 x 4.0 in

Cheers for that, printed out nicely and looks fantastic assembled and painted up

Just amazing. So well thought out and easy to print. Turned out perfect for me!

Fascinating looks like something right out of the Portal games. Great print dood.

What software did you use to get the picture of it all lined up?

Doh should have read what you wrote about infill. Printed 2 handles at 33% infill and they split to hell when they cooled. Can't want for my Filabot to arrive. Will try 5% tonight.

Finally a decent excuse to go buy some black ABS!! w00t!

This has to the most impressive 3D item that I have printed so far. Awesome!
I love the way it just neatly clicks together. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. It's amazing what you can make when you care about your projects.

there's a slight gap between the handle and the main block. i modified it and it's better now. i'm going to upload v2 of the handle shortly. no other pieces change

I wonder if I did something wrong? I printed the updated handle and the main block so far, using Cura. I had to slice your raft a little closer to the model in order to fit my PrintrBot's 6x6x6" build area, but that was simple in Netfabb. After printing, I peeled off your raft (which I like) but it seems like the main block is noticeably thinner (as in less wide) than the handle, where I thought they would fit flush. (side to side) Seems like it's almost 1/8" thinner. Is this something that's covered up when the scope is mounted, so it's no big deal, or did something come out wrong? I'm still printing the rest of the smaller parts, and I'll finish up with printing the scope tonight when I get home, so perhaps the mystery will be solved soon enough on it's own.

Awesome work there... Will print this as the other one has to many hollow sections and breaks to easy.
Plus the scope doesn't look screen accurate.

Nice work! I was going to print Astaines but decided against it as it had holes and didn't slice nicely enough for my discerning taste. ;) From one Star wars junkie to another...may the force be with you!!
