I found a different skull that I wanted to print so I sliced it up for printing. The jaw should fit better on this model.

Print all the pieces and glue them together.
There is an alternate Mandible Top that has a strap for a rubber band. So if you screw a hook in the bottom of the skull then you can use that strap to hold the mandible on.
I got the original from Grabcad and then sliced it up to print. http://grabcad.com/library/skull-1

Whats the dimentions of this model when completed?

Has anyone figured out what scale to use on this model to get as close to 1:1 life size as possible?

Dec 14, 2016 - Modified Dec 14, 2016

I want to draw remix of this skull. Wat’s program I need, to change this skull? Can’t work with this model with Autodesk Fusion 360, because there are too many objects in mesh.

I didn't design this thing I only sliced it up to make it printable and I did that using Sketchup.

Does it need support?

I've never used support when I print it. That's the main reason why I sliced it into pieces is so support is needed.

Made this, looks awesome! Thanks for making the model.

Here's the result: http://i66.tinypic.com/b5k17q.jpg

It came out awesome! Thanks for printing my model.

I just love this model

Print it up life-size in white and it could be used as a prop for a production of "Hamlet".

I have printed the bottom of the skull it came out OK some sagging in the nasal cavity, I think you could remove what is suppose to be the separation between the two sides of the cavity. Once I load the pic's to my PC I will post. I tried to print the top and the mandible but my printer was only extruding spurts of filament on both, not sure if it's my printer or if something got lost during the conversion from STL to G Code, any help would be greatly excepted...

At least the Skull Bottom Slice is full of errors?

It slices just fine for me on both Skeinforge and Simplify 3D. I didn't create this model I just cut it in parts for printing.

The teeth are all separate shells, and there is a hole in the back of the nasal chamber... attempting to repair now as I'd love to print this. Thanks

Does the "skull_fill_build" file print the whole skull? How bad is it to pick the raft out around the teeth?

I've never tried to print it in one piece. There is a derivative of my skull that people have had pretty good success printing in one piece but I've not tried to print that version either.

I'd love to get the mandible as a single piece (instead of two slices that have to be glued together).

I just uploaded the mandible as a single piece, I'm fairly sure it is scaled correctly but you may want to double check just to make sure.

Great, thank you!

Make sure to post a photo if you print it!

Printed (with Kisslicer) the Mandible with 100% scale and a 0.3mm noozle, didnt worked that good, its a bit too smale. The Teeths are too smale, maybe better with 150% scale.

netfabb has a hard time with these .stls there are holes that are not repairable. I tried to print it nevertheless on a Makerbot rep2, but it doesnt come out as it supposed to. How did you guys manage?

I've printed 3 or 4 without any issues so far. I'm printing them on my Thing-O-Matic using Sailfish firmware and ReplicatorG. I didn't create this model I only sliced it so I could print it.

Do you know the original scale of this skull? I'd like to print it as close to real size as possible.

I got it from here http://grabcad.com/library/skull-1grabcad.com/library/skull-1 i have no idea if that is to scale or not.

Nice work man !
