Summary
This is a replacement funnel cover for WRIGHT1\'s Extruder Controller Fan Mount, which works to keep your MOSFETs extra cool when under heavy strain (heated build platform, anyone?). My thing is just slightly aerodynamicized (let\'s pretend that\'s a word).
Why did I make it? A. His thing deserves to be on the front page again because of how useful it is, and B. because I felt like screwing around with natural geometry in google sketchup. (not easy)
Instructions
- Print out the .stl file at the bottom of this page
- Go to WRIGHT1\'s original thing (link at top of page)
- Print out the funnel.
- Follow his instructions from there.
NOTE Because google sketchup isn\'t good with very tiny dimensions, I had to scale this thing up by 1000x in order for it to save properly. Sad, I know :( HOTFIX: When you\'re editing it in ReplicatorG, use the Scale tool and enter the value : .001
If anyone feels like helping me out and has 5 minutes, they could open their modeling program of choice and scale down this model by 1000x (56.5mm across) because my modeling program sucks :)
