This is a belt tensioner that will fit the standard Taz 4 X Carriage frame. This should also fit the 3.2 and the 2 frame. not sure about the Taz 1.
It's a simple screw based tensioner. I was only able to fit it in the
inverted position, but it liiks like it will work fine. Experemental at this
point, the usual disclaimers apply
This uses the existing belt mount lug on the X carriage. You remove the stock bolt from the one side, slide the tensioner frame over the
mount lug, then screw on the tensioner unit and route the belt. You will need to experement with the bolts to get the correct length. I used M3 heat set inserts and bolts for all of the pieces. You will need 2 heat set inserts, one 16mm long-ish M3 cap screw, one 30-ish mm long M3 cap
screw, and one 34-ish mm long one.You will also want one or two washers to place in between the existing lug mount parts to prevent them from pinching the belt at that point when the assembly is tightened down.
