Open Sourced Radio Control Racing

Aimed at UK secondary schools and colleges, OpenRCR gives young people a chance to get to grips with real engineering design and personal manufacture by designing and 3D printing their own 1:12th Electric R/C Circuit Cars. It also aims to gradually ween schools off proprietary hardware & software and embrace the OpenSource revolution!

The competition culminates in a race meeting between schools that uses the official British Radio Car Association rules and digital lap timing systems.

  • sadly no robots in control of robots!(Though some might argue that's one robot more than is needed!)

What does OpenRCR stand for? Robot Controlled Robots? Cause that would be awesome. :-)
