Summary

UPDATE: Ive made better files for printing, made the gun parts separate as well as another set with the updated gun parts and made .stl files as a request. I will once again be attempting to build it and thank you all for the likes and the support! Wish me luck!

The Fallout 3 T-51b Power Assault Armor! Its an action figure I am attempting to print and build. I will post a build of the figure when I am done, if you build this figure, post pictures so I can enjoy the creativity of the community! I used the hand file from the Open Source Action Figure with 70 Points of Articulation (aka Dexter) file by jasonwelsh, I used the ball joint from the ball joint file by chicuco, the laser rifle by uwcrutch. I DO NOT own any right to the fallout franchise or the design from it, It all belong to Bethesda Game Studios.

Awesome work man. Looks like you put a lot of labor and love into this. I am adding this to the queue of things to make.

Could you post as an .stl or another file. I can not get slic3r to open the files.

Hello, If you simply download the open source Makerbot Software from their website then you can export the .Thing files as Binary .STL files. This is what I did and it worked without fault. Make sure to print with support and if you plan on painting, Use primer. Hope this helps mate, Happy Printing :D

falloutfigure 1.2 will not download still. I am using a makerbot. does that matter?

falloutfigure1.2.thing will not download on Makerbot. Falloutfigure1 and 2 files keep failing when trying to print. Anyone else having issues?

You have to print with support or the figure wont print as there is a few pieces that are in mid air, This means a lot more clean up, As I am about 1 month into mine and I'm about to start painting. This remedied it for me but there might be something else at fault. I Hope that this solves it though

Thanks so much dude ! now i can get to finishing this amazing figure. thnx again

hey man jus to let you know that the guntop and gunbottom are too thin to print. its quite easy to fix in sketchup.

Hey man i see you made joints which is awesome but you should detach the body in to pieces so we dont rip it apart to put the joints in

If I knew how to do it I would, sorry bro

This is cool, but only the extra hands are showing up for me when I put the file onto Sculpteo. Any advice? Or is that still part of the wip?

Hey, I think the issue is that it only buffers one thing. I uploaded the actual .obj file of just the armor and It worked. So, the whole thing I've set-up won't work because there's too many parts.

Hmm...never messed with that program, so I'm going to download it and figure out the problem.
