An updated fan mount and duct or the new mk3 jigsaw replacement extruder. This design uses the mk3's easy clip on system as well as a smaller 30mm fan.

Full installation instructions can be found here:

  1. Print duct and mount.

2.Assemble mount to duct.

  1. Clip into mk3 extruder and tweak angle to direct airflow below the nozzle. Carefully unclip duct and mount at this angle.

  2. Use acetone or glue to permanently bond the mount and the duct.

  3. Insert 30mm fan and mount on Solidoodle mk3 extruder: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:40711

  4. Wire up fan and enjoy!

I just added your extruder fan for the stock extruder and I am thinking the MK4 will be my next upgrade. I really don't feel like getting a new fan, rewiring, etc. I know it's no big deal but I would prefer to keep using the 40mm fan. Any ideas? Do you or someone else have design that would work?
