It's a pokeball!!!! It is a decoration piece at the moment. I've not yet gotten to creating the hinge/button system I planned.

Print sections in whatever color you would like.
Force button into center ring.
Sand bot bottom and top shell to fit center ring
then glue/acetone pieces together.

As a bonus I've included the Masterball top

How odes the middle part go into the ring? do you have a picture of how it all fits together?

This i just used pliers to squeeze the middle part into the ring, so it's just a press fit. Although tolerances have changed greatly over the years since I made this file so it might be a loose fit by today's standards even.

hope that helps,

It would be cool to some how incorporate some wiring to have it light up after you press the button to open it. So, once you figure out the hinges, line the top half with aluminum foil and place some LED's in the bottom half under a cheap dimming dome. That would be some work, but cool! Great job on the design!
