An aerator is supposed to pump air into the waterstream, not just make smaller sprays of water. This is not an aerator, it a diffuser at most.

I know this, because I'm designing a printable aerator
my self, so your title caught my eye.

Did you ever post your aerator? I have a sink with a failing 1.5GPM aerator and was hoping to print a replacement. Much to my surprise, they are few and far between.

I think there are different uses of the term "aerator", both of our uses being valid. For example, wikipedia says "an aerator spreads [the water] stream into many little droplets.
