A prusajr Mendel printable on a Makerbot or Huxley or any other small printer. Requires 85x98mm of active area. Bushings are included in a separate file and must be printed in PLA. The rest can be printed in either PLA or ABS. The vertices are stacked with a raft between them so they should separate easily. UPDATE! All plates updated to have more evenly distributed print times and latest version of all parts. Source is at https://github.com/prusajr/PrusaMendel

Hi I also want to print the parts. thekendall said i should use the new parts on the github, but somehow i cant seem to find the apropriate plates for the cupcake ?! Can someone tell me how i can take ordinary files and change them to a cupcake style ?? Thanks a lot!!!

I have been interested in the RepRap Project for a long time but I am now thinking about building actually building a reprap. I have a question about these parts. I have heard about a USA version and Metric one if I print these out can I use Usa nuts and bolts? Or is it all the same?

I'm planning on printing the Prusa parts out on my Cupcake, but a question comes to mind...

Why do the bushings have to be made from PLA?

ABS bushings will wear out way too quickly. PLA is harder and so does not rub itself into a wobbly state in the first few hours.

If you are printing a prusa, you should REALLY use the latest parts from github.

Thank you; I'll check out GitHub too!

Printing plate 4 on my Thing-O-Matic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tz4Vzyr0t2Mhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Might give it a go in some PLA when it arrives as I still have issues with warping on larger prints such as this.

What did you use to produce the stacked frame vertexes (i.e. with the separation strips between them)?

Is this too big for an abp???

Should I print these with a raft?

Yes, unless you have a heated platform.

Make sure you remove any bolts from the build platform on an makerbot, I taped to build platform together to print this.
