Hello , this is a really cool print. Im new to 3d printing what type of material did you use? and was there any paint involved? Thanks

Thanks. The details are all in the posted.

I absolutely love this, I've printed a few already. What would be epic if there were other designs of the same style. I'm using them as little window planters and I'd love a little crazy family of Tiki faces

I'm an idiot. Turns out @Shapespeare already made a few of these haha.
these are wonderful

Is this safe to drink out of after painting? What kind of paint do you use if so?

I wouldn't recommend it. I had shapeways print one in food-safe ceramic. FDM printing isn't really good for food use. Even if you can find material which isn't toxic the nooks and crannies are impossible to clean properly.

What is the volume of the cup? Is it for 500 ml?

Hello. I'm trying to make this Tiki Mug with zero top layers and zero infill but every time it leaves holes right below the eyes. This is because of the zero layers for the top. I'm using simplify3d and made 2 printing processes to try to fix this. One process has layers on the top and then switches to the second process with zero layers on top so I can have the mug's opening. The problem is it puts a top on the model when it switches to the second process. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I didn't have that problem when I printed it, but it probably depends on the printer. I uploaded a hollow version which you may have better luck with.

Thanks I will try it out tonight. I like your podcast. Listen to it every Thursday.
