This will help keep spooled wire in its place. Just pull it off to get to the wire, and snap it back in place when you're finished. There's a window so you can see what's underneath, and a little pull tab you can stick a label on.

Compatible with customizer, and fully parametric.


Choose some values in the "User-defined values" section if necessary, render, and print. The default values fit a typical wire spool found at Radio Shack.

Bad photo.. but just saw two slots into the side of each spool, works a charm... little spacers on the spool holder stop them rubbing too.

if the open end looped around far enough couldn't you run the end out of the hole and just use it as a tension style spool?

Great idea! You can use customizer or OpenSCAD to change the size of the opening, spool diameter, and other parameters. Maybe I'll try to print one that wraps around further and see how it goes. Thanks for commenting!
