A customizable box with a sliding lid, why?
Cause when you get a box of dominos and the box falls to bits, you make another one,,, or code a customizable one, with curved edges too.

Hmm. A handy little sketch. My boxes are coming out consistently about 7mm short on the length and width and about 1mm tall on the height at the lowest lip of the sliding door. I don't know if this is my printer or some trouble with the rounding stuff.

Yeah my dimensions didn't line up either... not sure what is going on in the code but the dimensions don't equal the internal box dimensions. Try https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:201304 instead.

This is most likely a silly question.
But when you adjust the sizes of the box, is that the external or internal dimensions your changing?

Very handy and the lid fits perfectly. I've made a couple of good ones. I am having trouble with very small boxes, though. Is there a lower limit in thickness of the walls or of the size?

For a skit I made the first one super tiny and gradually scaled it up to have a russian doll effect and it turned out great. On the smaller ones I used my Form 2 SLA printer and on the larger ones I used my Robo C2, Lulzbot Taz 6, and gMax 1.5XT+

In customizer parameters, what is the setting $Fn?
Are measurements in mm?

$Fn is how many polys the code will generate, higher numbers equal more polys. I have it set to 20 to keep the corners rounded and print efficiently, however I left the number open so people can have a smoother edge or have chaffered corners.

and it is mm

This file print really nice boxes! THANKS
What did you design this in?

thanks man, openSCAD is what i used to create the model which can be found here http://www.openscad.org/
