I don't think that your custom bar variable actually does anything. I set it for my 1/2in (12.7mm) stock, but it still prints out at 15.75. I reviewed the openscad file and I notice that the modules for generating parts still have "boom_width=15.75;" statically set. I'm attempting to get it to work for me; I guess it will teach me how to use openscad... needed to start sometime!

Could you not make/print an adaptor to change the size, if the variable isn't working for you? Just a thought.

Do I have the size of all the bolts used?

Hi! I don't know how to use openSCAD, could you please upload the TC_Yaw_mount.stl so I can print it without supports? It seems the only one that needs to be rotated. Moreover what's the size of the 3 square tubes required for the 3 brackets?

Just rotate it in the slicing software and the boom size is 15.5 towle rack rod, but 15mm wood would work too, and no you dont need support. Good Luck and happy flying!!
