Printed a few of these, they came out really nice. I did scale them down a bit so they wouldn't be too big as a keychain. I used a horizontal expansion of about -0.1 for the inside propeller to still have it spin nicely. At first I was a bit disappointed because it didn't spin well but I kept spinning it and now 2 days later it's really sensitive and spins like crazy when I blow on it :) My friends found it really cool

I prefer to mount the turbine upside down in the casing, instead of what is suggested.
This allow to have the turbine fully inside the casing, and it rotate fine as well.

printed many times 100% scale, in PETG & PLA

Will the snapping together work in PLA, or only ABS? I kind of feel like PLA will just snap but would be delighted to find out that wasn't the case.

a pla housing for me broke after a few minutes

Anyone have any clue why Simplify3D would be filling the first layer?

Awe crap, I went to High School from 99-03 this would have been a bomb spinning necklace.

I had to print this at 200% size in order for the fins to work well. Turned out great though!

Is there any possible way that you could make a blank casing? Also, what software do you use to make these creations I would love to know.

Great design! Works well with this printable split ring for keychain: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:506993

split ring for keychain

Nice!! I love things that spin! :)

We added a 10 blade version. Fits in side the outer ring like the original 6 blade version.

These turned out great! I can print at 20 microns so im going to make them half this size and make ear rings out of them :)

No offence, but our point is that you can download and 3d print this model. :)

If you don't have a 3d printer, I completely understand that you think it's a dead end.

What's the point of sharing this? Complete dead end.
