A modded version of the MK8 extruder upgrade ready for the Makerbot Replicator 2.
It replaces the notorious delrin plunger with a ball bearing. Extruder reliability is increased and it actually fits perfectly in the Rep2.
What you get: Mounting & Lever part ready to fit the Rep2 filament stepper.
My Printing settings:
I printed with 2 Shells at 100% Infill at 0.2mm layers.
What you'll need:
- a 623 bearing (3mmx10mmx4mm)
- a 10mm M3 grub screw
- a 20mm M3 flat head screw (shortened mine to 18mm)
- a 10mm m3 flat head screw (shortened mine to 8mm)
3 wire springs from 2 foldback clips (I used 20mm ALCO foldback clips)
- a sharp knife, some rasps, manual skills and a bit of patience.
