Keeping track of the subtle difference between M3 x 10mm vs M3 x 12mm can be a challenge on the best of days. Accidentally mix them up and you're occupied for the next hour fumbling through the pile with a ruler for the closest match.
Save yourself some grief and print off one (or more) of these reference cards to assist with your Thing-O-Matic assembly!
They should cover all the bolt sizes used in the Thing-O-Matic itself, the Automated Build Platform (V2) and Plastruder MK5.
Pick your source:
The LaserCutCoasterReference_Metric.dxf was sized to fit on the "coaster" cut-out in the center of the laser-cut fan filter mount.
The ToMboltmatch_4up_v2.pdf should print four laser-cut reference coasters on an 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.
The LaserPrintReference_Metric.dxf was sized to fit comfortably on a 3"x5" or A7 index card sized piece of paper or label.
- The ToMboltmatch_8up.pdf should print eight of laser-print reference cards on an 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.
Test-print the source.
Confirm with a ruler that the dimensions (in mm) are precisely 1:1 scale. If not, adjust your printer driver's scale accordingly and re-print.
- Assemble your Thing-O-Matic.
