Where do you buy the patinas? Do you sell them or do you get them somewhere else?

I'm assembling a line of patina products for sale. I'm hoping to start getting them out early 2014.

All of your submissions are great! Thank you for sharing. I'm printing mine at 50% scale. I'm 98% complete with the top piece now.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

I've printed a copy from EinsteinShell2Parts.zip and it's come out pretty well.
One small problem is that the loose mounting bracket seems to be the wrong size for the bust (it's a lot smaller than the hole in the bottom).

Is there a different version, or can you recommend a scaling factor that will give an exact fit? Doubling the size didn't seem right either.
Thanks for sharing this scan. The quality is fantastic.

The mounting bracket is designed to fit into the negative shape at the top of the model's interior. At the scale I uploaded it, which is 1:1 with the original, it can sit on top of a 15.7mm post. If you keep it scaled the same as the other parts, it should fit, but you'll have to re-size the post it sits on. I've added a cutaway diagram -- see the photos. I haven't used this particular piece myself on this model, so I don't know how well balanced the head it resting on it. It may need to be glued in place.

Thanks very much. That was just the help I needed. I had a spare piece of 8 mm rod just the right length and it balances perfectly.

I still have to finish tidying up the join and then think about how to paint it, but I've added a photo for good measure. I printed at 50% scale in grey ABS so I'm planning to start with some primer and then try and find a nice bronze metallic paint.

How did u did the casting? traditional way?

Very nice scan, very nice print.
