This is a my first experement into 3d printing, a Birthday present for my girlfriend.

Print on a fine setting, plastic Prime and I painted mine 'toolbox red. It still acts as a spring so be careful. Place on a chain and give to somebody!

Hi Ronnie, I'm afraid I didn't have any issues with that, possibly the 3d printing consultant i used altered my mesh?

its weird in cura, and rep when looking at the model in 3d view it displays fine, but once sliced is when it shows the missing area

when i slice this part of it disappears, have not tried printing to see if it print 100% or not

How did you print this? Did you print it laying flat or standing up? I'm assuming you used support material?

I didn't make it myself, I don'y have a printer yet, 3dcreationstudio made it on one of their Objet machines

this is perfect thank you very much, i wanted to know how can i make it that smooth like the one in the photo?

I spray painted mine with car paint from Halfords after using red plastic primer.

there we go! please let me know if it works on a makerbot, I'm saving up for one!

This looks absolutely amazing!!! :)
Really nice work!

there you go! done, let me know how it works
