Summary

An intricate vase created with a spiral growth. It looks very interesting from the side view or when you rotate - it is mesmerizing. It has a pine cone like appearance.

Instructions

This is a complex object and it prints in a strange way because of the way it was made. The fibers get smaller towards the top so it is a good idea to keep the size of the print as large as you can otherwise the ends will get broken off by the print head.
Object was created in Modo.

Tried printing this twice in PLA. It broke and pieces went flying about 30% of the way into the print. Very fragile.

How large did you make it? I would suggest printing at the largest size possible on your printer.

I was printing it at 12x actual size (assuming original units were mm). Somewhere around 180mm high I guess.

With support material to brace it, it would probably be fine, but that would mess up the beauty of the thing.
