I would like to thank every single one of you for helping me in achieving 10,000 downloads, as a gift to all of you I am releasing the dual extruder version of the diamond lamp.

There are two versions : one with the bottom sculpted like all the sides, the other one with a full bottom.

Thanks to Tailor3d (thumbnail), matt448 (video), MrFox (instructable) for their awesome makes.
Special thanks to jrokusekj who helped me debug the files and who was the first to print it.

Nice work!
Any chance, you can upload an .stl with the glass inlays of just one side?
With the current version of all four sides it's pretty hard to print.
If we have the clear blocks of one side only we could print that one four times...

Done, you'll find it under "side_insert.stl"
Thanks, for the suggestion

You're a star!!

thanks for the quick reply!!

I love this actually very nice idea

I kinda wish each side was made like the lid, it would be easier to print and fun to build

It would indeed be easier to print but I must confess I like the print in place design.

I suggest checking out https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:37173 or https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:228677 for print and build designs.

Just a quick question: What are the dimensions on this?

The original file is 70x70x70mm (or 2.75 x 2.75 x 2.75 inches) but you can scale it however you want

Alrighty, awesome! Thanks, bro

New here.... Can i edit this to add feet and a small hold onto the bottom face to add a switch?

I'd highly appreciate it, just don't forget to put your design as a derivative of this one.

Thanks for linking to my blog post. :-)

It's the least I could do :D
I was so happy to see what you had done with my design and I wanted others to be inspired by what you did.

Man, that looks soooo real! Some of my students are great fans of minecraft, they could talk about it for hours! They are going to love it.
I personally love the blue glow. Fantastic.

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it.
I would love to see the lamp made as a school project, if you do so please let me know.

Hi, can you share what kind of color changing light you are using in the video? Or anything similar, simple to implement with multiple colors used at once?
Otherwise I would use a basic lamp stand and add milight bulb inside :)

Thanks for great idea!

It was not made by me but by matt448, I think you should ask him or go check out his blog post about how he made this lamp.

His remix : http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1023004

He said he used a RGB LED strip.

Hi, thanks very much, this will be very helpful!

???what upd8 wuz this added to minecraft? cuz i hav the resent snapshot and i dont hav this in the game?????

that looks very complicated but im still huge fan

noice!!!!!! if you want to be friends

Great work! I noticed the sides did not come out that well because of the square corners... stinks for the inevitable imperfect squares.

If someone make it please send me a picture, it will become my thumbnail ;-)

i will make a note to make one and take a picture

Thank you for showing your support. I hope you will have fun with this lamp.

Could you put the box and lid in separate files? Some of us will need to flip the box over, so the open side is at the top, to print without supports. We can't do that with the .stls as they are now.

Thank you to tell me that, this is an issue which I had not thought.
