UPDATE 3-1-13: It has come to my attention that some peoples build platforms are larger than 200mmx200mm. Therefore, I have made it available to print in full/1-piece or split/2-piece.

This only fits USA style license plates.

I changed my mind on including a motorcycle plate border. I had the script written and lost it when my hard drive crashed. I'm sure you can scale down your customized plate border to fit a motorcycle.

Text does not center itself. Add spaces to front of text to place in middle.

File can print as two parts for easy printing on almost any machine. You can tape, glue, melt, weld, bolt, or clamp together but not needed if using all four bolt holes.

Promote your favorite business, sports team, personal quote, or message to the driver behind you.

Might be a great gift for you to give to someone for their first car. Hint! Hint!

Is there any reason why the second half of the print is floating in air? I have to use supports to print this and it seems like it would print better if it was all flat.

EDIT: I was able to use the split function in slic3r and it split the two parts and snapped the second one to the buildplate.

I wonder how/why it did that to begin with though.?

This is the first I've heard of it. I'll check it out.

Hi, if you didn't see my edit I was able to solve it in Slic3r.

You can see on my customized plate the second half is floating slightly above the buildplate.

I'm looking at the .scad file and I can't figure out how to change the font. I'm not sure what font I want, just messing around with it.

It's been a while since I've used OpenScad. I believe it only comes with one or two fonts. You will have to design each letter of the font you want and incorporate it into the file yourself.

That's what it looked like to me. I was hoping I was missing something. Thanks for responding so quickly, and thanks for a cool design.

Please do a motorcycle frame? :) This is awesome, but looks weird when I scale it down and put my motorcycle plates on it!

Hi What kind of of a progran did you use to make this ?
