Summary

This thing loosely slips over the Z axis knob on an M2 to hold the platform up while the stepper motors are powered off.

Instructions

I printed this thing in PLA using .25mm layers at 20% infill (standard settings) on an M2. I ran the STL through Netfab so it is clean and ready to slice.

Too big for the knob, does not hold anything, just spins around.

Makergear may have changed the size of the knob, you could scale it down with your printing-slicing software before you print it?

This is so useful that if it isn't going to be supplied in the box by Makergear it should at least be one of the samples on the SD card (beats that bracelet any day!)

I'm totally agree Tom and thank you for this handy button

This thing is great! MakerGear now uses these to assist in the assembly process of new M2s. (source: I am the assembly guy at MakerGear that uses them)

You guys should print these and include them with at least the kit versions. I wish I had this during assembly, I had to keep sticking an hex wrench in the hole.

The gcode for this should be one of the samples on the SD card if it isn't a printed part in the box.

Thanks! You guys make a great product, my M2 is rock solid.
