printed really nicely in PETG but the design can't hold a bottle (tried a lot of different sizes) if you are not riding on completely flat road.

Love it!!! Made one for my bike, and it works PERFECTLY! Thanks!

I have the same bike I have to try this today

Congrats! I thought you model was one of the best choices for a 3D Printed Christmas gift! I made a link from here: http://3dprintingninja.blogspot.com/2014/12/top-20-free-3d-printed-christmas-gifts.html

Thanks for sharing! Your blog looks like a good resource, I'll have to check out some of the Blender tutorials.

I'm using it on my bike. Great! I had some trouble with screws, I needed long screws

Thanks, I'm glad it worked out!

I checked your design of the backing in the UP!'s program and noticed a hairline separation between the backing and the lower lip. This was confirmed when i tried to print it. It's like two separate pieces right next to each other.
Other than that, nice design! Can't wait till the backing is fixed into one solid piece - then I'll print!

I sat down to design this and thought "maybe I should check Thingiverse first...". Thanks for the design! I'm looking forward to printing one of these out.

Thanks for the feedback, hope it works out!

After using it for awhile, I have had the bottom of the bar piece break. I need to come back to this design and work on making that piece stronger.

I understand this is an old design, so I won't harp too much. I printed this out of PLA and used it for all about 1 day until it broke. It's just not sturdy enough (I understand PLA is not the best for this use, but I've had other PLA parts last much longer). Not that I'm ragging on your design. I like the design the most out of all the others because it's a 3 piece and short print time. The rings need to be solid without a gap, and the bottom plate, as you stated, is also weak. I broke that and the bottom ring. This is a great base design, and I'm sure that if and when you re-visit this design, it will be spectacular (and stronger).
