S3 case merged with a Tardis

So - took an S3 case and worked in a proportionally correct Tardis.

I printed this thing all weekend and finally came up with the right formula.
I first tried printing with my Tardis blue ABS - upside down, right side up with and without full support. In every event the abs shrunk too much, lifted off the platform, support unraveled or a combination of all 3.
If anyone has any idea how to print a phone case in ABS, please let me know...because I couldn't figure it out.

Finally I printed with PLA - I used a blue tinted clear PLA, sprayed a liberal coating of hair spray on the platform - used a raft, full support and 25% fill. printed perfectly.
There was much weeding, but it came out 98% perfect. The 2% odditiy was the raft looking middle panels....all panels should look like the lower panels. It is designed that way and printed that way when printed upside down...so I might tweak the file and reload later. Let me know if you experience the panel oddity.

I happen to have some Testors spray paint left from 1991 that actually still worked...finished it off with the other Testors paint and a sharpie. I had originally planned to print the Tardis Police Box sign and the panel instructions to adhere...might still do the police box sign at a later date....if so, will upload a file sized to fit as well.

Wow how did you paint this and also why not just print in blue filament to make most of the painting easier?

Since the TARDIS is sort of "on" the case instead of designed as the case itself I opted to paint just the tardis portion blue.
I used model car enamel paint. Printed with clear filament.

How hard is it to remove the supports from inside of the case? I don't have a printer so I can't really know.

With any fill it isn't too difficult. It put ribs that were easily removeable down the long axis. Just took a pair of needle nose pliers and about 5-10minutes of weeding it out.

YOU ROCK! That is all.

I want this for my HTC Inspire. :D

I recently updated the template to fix alignment and some other issues, including making the button holes larger. just thought id let you know. good work by the way.

Thanks - noticed that the buttons didn't line up perfectly, so I increased the slots 1/16" before uploading the file.

Gods, I would love to have one that was for a Nexus 4.
