The cylinder seems massive, stupid question but can it be scaled down or does it have to be print at this seize ?

LOL you have an Ultimaker 2 extended, what are you complaining about? :P

The duration of the song affects the cylinder size. You can scale all of the parts up/down together if you wish. Just make sure you scale them all the same.

how long does the whole thing need to be to make each part seprate

The song name is actually "Fur Elise," but the english translation is "For Elise." Cool model nonetheless.

Isn’t it actually Für Elise?

by any chance could you make it so the sound it clearer? it is amazing how you designed it though.

ok, thanks for all your help!

does it need any supports on any of the parts

No support required

do you know how long this takes on a printrbot simple metal?

how long does this take to make

On my reprap it took pretty much all day. It's a hard print because the frame is so big that it wants to pull up on the corners. I printed the music cylinder separate.

so all day meaning like 24 hrs?
how long does each piece take?
i really want to print it but i dont have my own printer so i go to a library to use one but they only give you 2-4 hour sessions

You might be able to do it if you print the parts separate. I imagine the library would have a nice printer. Give it a shot! The cylinder took me the longest but the frame was the most frustrating.

ok! thanks for all your help! ill get back to you if it works.

Reminds me of the old airplane joke:

Lufthansa (In German): "Ground, what is our start clearance time?"

Ground (In English): "If you want an answer you must speak English."

Lufthansa (In English): "I am a German, flying a German airplane, in Germany. Why must I speak English?"

Beautiful English Accent (before ground could answer): "Because you lost the bloody war!"
